Named after the Latin word for time, the Alec Bradley Tempus is a combination of Honduran Criollo wrapper blended with Corojo and Criollo filler from the Trojes region of Honduras, just north of the Nicaraguan border. Brand owner Alan Rubin originally intended this blend to be his Maxx cigar, but was concerned with getting a consistent product from the factory. With consistency no longer a concern, Rubin has launched Tempus, making it his first brand with the words "Alec Bradley" printed on the band.  The Tempus, according to Rubin, was seven years in the making and built around the dark wrapper, which is one of the cigar's defining characteristics.
